Another professorial acceleration program is being held by the Directorate of UMM Postgraduate Program. This time, the program was not only limited for internal lecturers at UMM, but was also intended for lecturers at other universities. The free Visiting Professor program, which contains mentoring and coaching through inter-university lectures, has received high enthusiasm. It was participated by 57 lecturers, with doctoral degree and professorial status, from 24 public and private universities.

Based on the UMM Postgraduate Program Directorate Decree passed on October 21, 2020, the participants were to receive online assistance by Prof. Akhsanul In'am himself. "These participants would be mentored to create engaging presentation posters in the replacement of power point presentations. These posters later will be registered as their intellectual properties, as parts of their online presentations on 7 November to 30 December 2020. They were also asked to write a book chapter, and a paper for International Seminars in December 2020. These outputs will be useful for increasing ranks and quality of their study programs,” said he.

In addition, Professor In'am also explained that this program further aimed to support the accreditation of 9 standards actualized by several study programs at UMM. This Visiting Professor program would increase mutual relationship among postgraduate programs from reputable universities. These higher degree institutions can start to exchange experts and lecturers, becoming guest lecturers, and so forth. "During this pandemic, especially, things may be progressed easier because it can be conducted online. This pandemic shouldn’t be a mere obstacle,” concluded he.

As a participant, Dr. Esti Ismawati expressed her expectations, "I and six friends from Widya Dharma University Klaten, who have been working over 35 years in education field, really hope that this Visiting Professor program can bring us closer to the Professorial level," said she. She further hopes this program will do good to all participants and speakers. (DIK).
